Overview
In the beginning there were three great kingdoms. Cesaret, Pyry, and Kedeaa. There was very little interaction between the three, each being separated by great boundaries created by the earth - the northern mountains, and the western seas. A day in age came when the High King Gerontius of Kedeaa sent out his three sons to rule beneath him over the Western, Eastern, and Southern provinces of his land. His eldest son (Aberardus) received the South. His middle son (Henricus) was given the West where the Kråke live. His youngest (Ranulfus) was gifted with the East beside the people of Drigossi. Because of the Kråke's culture, which clashed with that of Kedeaa, they became outcasts in society. In the culture of Kedeaa, crows are seen as the death-bringers, whereas in the Kråke's culture they are worshiped and are the symbol for their people.
Years after the Kedeaa was split into provinces, each given to a son of the king, the central kingdom fell. People believed the Kråke summoned a great demon to devour the kingdom so that they would be freed from the oppression. The three kings of the provinces were left to take control - a true test of their leadership. The first response was to send soldiers to the central kingdom, only for their armies to be eradicated by whatever lay amongst the ruins. Few returned, and those who did told stories of dark entities they called Shades, that now roamed the wreckage. There was one thing the three kings agreed upon, and that was to never set foot on the land again in hope of claiming the central kingdom. The one who claims the central kingdom would become the next High King.
Nearly six decades later, when new kings rose from the old, that pact was long forgotten. Each of the three kings made it their goal to become the High King and rule over the others, knowing the only way to do that was to claim the central kingdom back from the Shades that held it even today.

Kråke West
Crows are often thought to be highly psychic and are associated with the element of ether or spirit. Kråke people have a long-standing occult tradition of associating the color black with "the abyss" of infinite knowledge. Black crows represent protection and intuition; especially when present in groups of three.
Because they are at the seaside, the Western Province will often have conflict with pirates.

Feannag is the term they use for their leaders. In ancient art they are depicted as having dark hair and pale skin, always having a crow at their side. It was believed that the crows would act as the Feannag's adviser. It's been nearly one-hundred years since the Kråke have had a Feannag rule over them since the Kedeaa King was given power and outlawed their traditions and culture.
Rocais (female) and Rocas (male) are the knights who directly serve under the Feannag.

Artorius South
The bear symbolizes adversity, leadership, and power. All of these played an important role in forming the province known as Artorius. The bloody history had been cleaned so that it was presented in as brilliant and heroic to their people. They mostly trade lumber and cattle amongst the Eastern and Western provinces.
The Artorius people are those who follow the roots of Kedeaa more closely. They have no outside influences unlike the other two provinces (who have the Krake and Drigossi). Much like the central kingdom, the Artorius have an animal of power as their symbol. Originally the Kedeaan people were referred to as "bear men" by the old tribes that lived in the south in the warring times, and the term eventually stuck. Once the threatening tribes had been removed from the land, the province became known as Artorius. Despite the symbol of the bear, it is the traditional King of Lions that they set their standards to.
The idea of Fight Clubs and Brawlers appealed to the people of Artorius, and became a popular sport. They will hold large tournaments and the winner will receive both gold and glory. Winners may gain the title of an Adalbern, a nobel fighter who serves the Lord.

Drigossi East
Life, death, and rebirth. The Drigossi believe nature follows this pattern. They kill with meaning and gratitude for the sacrifice made. With humans it's another story. They can be savage people when traditions are imposed upon or outsiders break the cycle. The tribe is distant from the Kedeaan rulers of the Eastern Province, and it is upon mutual agreement that if they Grigossi refuse to aid the kingdom, they will not receive protection if ever needed.
They worship many sacred animals, but it's the white wolf that is they hold the most spiritual connection to. They believe all wolves were white, but because the people slaughtered the animals for their pure coats, they changed their fur to the more undesirable colors of brown, black, and gray. It is when the animals show themselves as white, that it is to be taken as a sign of trust that has been regained.
Pyry North
The people of Pyry are weary of taking on more than what is necessary. The Pyry don't usually have much contact with outside kingdoms, but in the past they've had trouble with tribes from the mountains. They collect fish, furs, stone, and gems. People believe they would be the wealthiest of the three kingdoms if they weren't so modest in progression.
Snow leopards were used as war companions years ago to defend against invading tribes of the mountains, and then later used to hunt animals among other creatures in the icelands. After their long history, the Pyry finally grew away from the idea of using the cats for their own purposes, and now view them as a sacred animal. They hope to give the spirit of the animal a long rest after the decades of work. It's not uncommon for royalty to share their luxuries with the cats in a partnership.
You are not to attack a snow leopard in the wild, and if you see one you are to turn back the way you came. They believe you should leave the cats to act on their own and not have any human contact when in the wild. If the animal approaches you, it will be by choice.
Majority of the nobles are fair skinned and fair-headed.
Metsa are hunters sent out to kill any creatures that have been of a threat to the land. They are highly respected and are given a place below the Nobles.

Cesaret Western Island
Before the phoenix became the symbol of the Cesaret, it was a nine-tailed fox. The myth of the tailed fox came from ancient stories that have yet to be forgotten. The tails symbolized the rays of sun constantly beating down onto the creature, the only relief coming from their homes in the ground. The Cesaret hold traditions close, although they will change one thing or the next with time without much of a problem. They respect outsider's cultures and traditions as if they were their own, only trying to become more educated in the ways of others. The phoenix became a symbol when it was sought to be more fit, following the concept of death of the old and rebirth of the new. Similar to the constant change of ancient ways.
The Cesaret value new information whether it pertain to them or not. It is tradition in some parts to offer news to the host before you may enter a home, or to a vendor before you may purchase an item. It is how you keep the world alive and moving.

Instead of worshiping an animal, the Cesaret worship the goddess of astrology. It focuses on the idea of unity and that each person's birth holds an importance in holding the world together. Just as there are celestial bodies in the sky, there bodies on the earth. Their moral is that they are the mirrored of the stars above, and therefore hold a powerful meaning. As they watch their star sign above, the signs watch them. The stars are not only guides for navigation, but they provide guidance in every day life.
Most of the people do not carry last names, as they believe only the first holds importance and is what should be known. Not by a name that had been passed down to you through birth. They are each their own person.
Buscars are highly trained killers who protect the Regis and follow her command.
